We are a Christian boarding high school in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. Our campus is nestled at the foot of the scenic Blue Mountains and is surrounded by rolling farmland. BMA has a rich history of upholding the traditional Christian values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church since its founding in 1955. When you decide to study at BMA you join a family. History
In 1948, conference president Elder T. E. Unruh voiced the long-felt need to train the ever-increasing number of youth eager to serve the cause. After presenting an intense and earnest study, the Pennsylvania Conference delegates took a unanimous vote in August of 1948. The adventure in faith became a reality when Blue Mountain Academy opened its doors to students in a long-remember year, 1955.
Since then, generations of alums have come and gone to be nurtured and trained within the protective walls of a secondary school dedicated to perpetuating the loftiest ideals and the highest principles of Adventist education.
