Mount Pisgah Academy

Knowing God, excelling academically, and creating memories.

Mount Pisgah Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist boarding high school located in Candler, North Carolina. At MPA, the educational journey extends beyond the classroom. Our holistic approach focuses on the whole health of the student, enabling all our students to achieve their personal best. We’re a culturally diverse campus that welcomes students of all faiths. Students enjoy a close community, engaging classes, caring teachers, and innovative programming surrounded by the breathtaking Southern Appalachian Mountains.

Get to Know Jesus

Worship is a critical part of our curriculum, allowing students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. While attending our school, students understand God’s love more deeply through spiritual programming, Bible classes, nightly worship, and more.

  • Nightly dorm worships allow students to connect on a personal level through testimonies and conversations with their deans.
  • Small group Sabbath school classes allow students to lead discussions while sharing their thoughts in a small group setting.
  • The annual iMPAct Youth Rally provides a weekend of spiritual revival for students and visitors with a special guest speaker and musicians.
  • Church services encourage student involvement every week.
  • Week of Prayer programming is designed to foster curiosity about Christ and renew connections with Him through personal testimony.
  • Every student is given a person of prayer (POP) day during the school year and is remembered through prayer by classmates and the community.

Share God’s Love

At Mount Pisgah Academy, we promote the development of body, mind, and spirit so that we may express our love for God and others through service.

  • Yearly ShareHim Mission Trips allow students to preach or assist in a construction project in another country.
  • Weekly Service Days allow students to connect with those in our community through service projects.
  • School-Wide Mission Trips provide an opportunity for every student and staff member to serve both within and outside of the United States.
  • Church Involvement nurtures a desire in students’ hearts to continue finding ways to serve God in their communities, now and in the future.
  • Yearly Community Emergency Response Training (C.E.R.T.) equips students and staff with the skills needed to respond to urgent needs.

Pursue Greatness

At Mount Pisgah Academy, our vision is to be an exceptional provider of quality Adventist Christian Secondary Education. • Seven dual credit courses (21 credits) are offered to 11th and 12th-grade students, allowing graduates to enter university with confidence.
  • Low student-teacher ratios (10:1) allow for discussion, growth, and more personalized instruction.
  • All teachers have office hours allowing students to receive one-on-one assistance on assignments and core topics.
  • Concert symphony and choir participants are encouraged to grow as an ensemble while performing the best pieces in sacred and secular music.
  • Students stay physically healthy through a strong intramural program, gymnastics, and varsity sports, including competitive basketball, soccer, and volleyball teams.
